I love twitter it helps you connect with some very interesting/clever people. I love reading all about the businesses and great ideas people have, its so interesting.
One of the great ideas that I have recently heard about is Easybelts .
What are Easybelts?
Easybelts are perfect for children or anyone with fine motor skills or problems with the hands and grip. The concept is very simple instead of a buckle on a belt an Easybelt has velco strip which is very simple to use. The velcro slips through the D shape buckle and then its folded back on itself making it secure and ensuring the belt doesn’t come open.
My son Luke has the problem that even though he is 8 years old he is in 11-12 year clothing. Although when it comes to trousers even though it fits in length its always too big round the waist and he spends most of his time pulling his trousers up. Due to his hyper-mobility and his autism he has poor fine motor skills and cannot manage a normal buckle and belt. He loved the Easybelt and managed it very well. It made him feel more independent as I didn’t have to keep sorting his trousers out which in turn stopped any meltdowns as he became over anxious.
