This month has been a strange month in many respects, for one its been so full of appointments I have never known things to be this busy in ages. Despite all this there has been lots to celebrate in the Savvy household. I would like to share some of these very special moments.
For years we have been working in conjunction with Luke’s special school on helping to get Luke toilet trained as he is 8 years old. He had mastered it at school but just needed to crack it at home. After hours of battling, the use of social stories he mastered it. Luke is finally out of nappies both day and night. For us this is a massive break through as it gives him a bit of dignity and independence.
Then there was his annual review, Luke is doing incredibly well the staff are so pleased with him. He has become a very confident little boy and he will hopefully be doing his stats in year 6,as they feel he will good enough to take them.
Jen has had lots to celebrate as well, she was invited to a birthday party which she coped with and thoroughly enjoyed, they made pizza. We have come a long way from the days where she was excluded from parties because she had special needs. The children in her class love her for Jen and don’t see her little quirks. Then her reading has come on leaps and bounds and she has now gone up another level in reading. She only just learnt to read in September all this delay is due to her learning difficulties.
Ely is doing extremely well at school and already has a head of year letter for getting 36 merits and is just 2 merits away from receiving her next head of year letter. She was also picked to be a teacher’s assistant for the day and she was commended on her behaviour and attitude.
Zak well what can I say he amazes me more and more each day. He is trying to be more vocal and has gone from playing in silence to making noises. The other day he lined all his cars up whilst making brrrrmmm sounds. He will now sit down and let me read a book with him. Whilst a few months ago he would just sit and chuck it at me. He now knows the names of the family and finally after nearly 3 years calls me muma. Before everyone was called daddy.
Mr Savvy is amazing as ever as he takes care of us all and does everything. I was so so lucky to have met Mr Savvy.
So as you can see this post is all about the achievements of the Savettes I am very proud of each one of them.

Lovely to see that list of positives. As Petra said you should have listed how far you yourself have come in the last few months.
